I use my vision of space, movement and color to recreate in my viewers my own strong, sad, or exuberant feelings and a very personal universe. I share a sense, not only of struggle, but also of a celebration of life.
I paint what I feel as well as what I see -- from textures on trees, small stones, rock formations, to prehistoric bones and cave art. For other images, I use maps and their contours to affirm my personal space in the world.
Recovering from grief after my son’s death I paint. Expressing joy I paint. Always art has the power to soothe and transform my feelings. It is my way of finding my emotional home.
